Job Description and Responsibilities
- Provide technical services and support for the following areas:
- Virtualization
- Backup and Storage
- Windows Server Environment
- Network and Connectivity
- Work with application consultants and developers to identify potential application performance bottleneck, identify possible solutions and implement fixes from infrastructure perspective
- Work with presales and project manager and participate in the design of information and operational support system for either existing or new implementation
- Understand customers’ need and their system requirements, work with sales team to engineer projects, identify new products and solutions, and research solutions and provide proof of concept (POC) for existing/new clients
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- To determine and liaise with product principal, vendors for problem escalation and resolution
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, operating procedures, and hardware guide
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to system engineers/junior system engineers in the company
- Be able to work independently with minimum supervision and work/coordinate with business applications owners, vendors, consultants, contractors and IT personnel from other departments or companies
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends, systems and practices in order to provide quality technical implementation to customers
Job Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field
- At least 8+ years of system engineer experience, with minimum 3+ years of infrastructure implementation experience
- Proven working experience in overseeing the design and implementation of end-to-end infrastructure systems
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
- Good documentation skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- Intuitive, ambitious and willing to take on any challenges
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Possess good working attitude
- Must possess in-depth hands-on, implementation and troubleshooting skills and experience on VMware related products
- Must possess at least one of the VMware certifications as below:
- VMware Certified Professional
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional for Data Center Virtualization,
- The certification above should be at least on v6.x and above
- Must possess in-depth hands-on, implementation and troubleshooting skills and experience on Dell EMC related products
- Certification of Dell EMC products in following category is a plus:
- Converged Infrastructure
- Data Protection
- Storage
- Knowledge, experience in SAN zoning and storage (NAS, SAN) implementation and configuration
- Knowledge, experience, certification with HCI related products such as Nutanix, SimpliVity, HyperFlex will be an added advantage
- Knowledge, experience, certification with A+, Cisco CCNE, MCSE/MCSA, Commvault/Veeam/Networker/Netbackup will be an added advantage
- Possess own transport and willing to travel within Klang Valley regularly, and within Malaysia occasionally
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or Permanent Resident (PR)
- Must be able to work on ODD hours including weekend and public holidays
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Candidate is required to station at customer office as Resident Engineer to manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Provide technical services and support for the following areas:

- Windows Server Environment
- Network and Connectivity
- Provide 1st level support
- To report and work with superior on activities and on-going support cases and new issues arise
- To liaise with product principal, vendors for problem escalation and resolution
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, operating procedures, and hardware guide
- Perform product preventive maintenance for customers, including updated product firmware, signature, and patches
- Be able to work independently with minimum supervision and work/coordinate with business applications owners, vendors, consultants, contractors and IT personnel from other departments or companies
Job Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field
- At least 2+ years and above of system engineer experience
- Proven working experience in supporting end-to-end infrastructure systems
- Working experience in infrastructure system implementation is a plus
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
- Good documentation skills
